World-class health care in a small-town package
When settling in a new area, having access to top-quality health care is a major consideration. The Rogue Valley is home to two highly ranked health care systems — Asante and Providence.
Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center is a local, community-owned, not-for-profit organization that serves as a regional referral and trauma center featuring the latest medical technology and clinical expertise. Key programs and services include nationally recognized heart and stroke care, orthopedics, cancer care, diabetes care, neurology and neurosurgery, bariatric surgery, rehabilitation services, neonatal intensive care, home care and hospice services. Asante’s regional network also includes Asante Ashland Community Hospital, Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass, three urgent care clinics, and dozens of medical group clinics, diagnostic locations and labs.
And construction is now underway for a new one stop regional center that will house all outpatient cancer services — including lab tests, imaging, radiation, chemotherapy, doctor consultations and other services. The new center will also have the latest radiation oncology technology and treatment modalities. The building is scheduled to open in the fall of 2021.
Providence Medford Medical Center is a full-service acute care, not-for-profit community hospital. Key programs and services include emergency services, stroke care, cardiac and vascular care, joint replacement, women’s services, birth center, pediatrics, cancer center, pain management, and one of the most comprehensive rehabilitation programs in the region. In addition to the hospital, more than a dozen medical group clinics are conveniently located throughout the area.
